How long after one is 'newly' married... can one still use their bridal pictures for their Facebook profile picture? What are the socially constructed and subsequently acceptable rules for that? As I think about it... I'm going with like a year. I find this much akin to 'How long do you wait after your cat dies to get another cat?' Okay, maybe that's a little different... but you know what I mean.

I think that you can until you have a kid. When the wedding picture is the best that you have of you and the hubby, than I believe it is acceptable...until an addition to the fam comes along.
I'm not sure there is a statute of limitations on the pictures. I like seeing people's wedding pics. Pretty. :) Also I think there are more of them on there recently because there was this Valentine's Day thing about "To celebrate V-Day, post a pic of you and your honey from your wedding day," etc. and I bet a lot of people just haven't bothered to change them again.
You can use your bridal picture as long as you want. It was fairly significant day in your life and after all the work, I say use it forever!
Nora - so true. It likely is the very best picture you have (and likely will ever have) of yourself. Might as well milk that sucker!
Guilty as charged. I have been married for nearly 3 years and have as my profile pic one of my husband and I. I haven't changed it because I am just not one of those people addicted to facebook and constantly changing and updating my profile. I think it is just out of laziness. I now have a baby but I would probably never put him up there because I feel weird about having a pic of him on the world wide web. So I guess I just haven't changed it because I am lazy.
Now if there's one thing I get it's pure laziness. Justified!!
I say a year too. If nothing new has happened in your life within that period that has provided postable pictures, WHAT in the WORLD are you doing with your life?
But then I've never been married, I'm just professionally judgemental.
